Community Partner: Keep Indianapolis Beautiful, Inc.

The Organization
Keep Indianapolis Beautiful, Inc. is a non-profit organization that unites people to build community and transform public spaces through aesthetic and environmental improvement.

What We Did
Yesterday, the Formstack crew set out on a half-day service project in partnership with Keep Indianapolis Beautiful, Inc. We worked with the 4th and 5th graders who were part of the KIB Club at Challenge Foundation Academy to finish their rain garden. Don’t know the benefits of a rain garden? (To be honest with you, most of us didn’t know, either.) Well, a rain garden is a planted depression that allows runoff rainwater to soak into the ground, as a result improving water quality in nearby bodies of water and reducing the amount of pollution reaching them.

We had a blast. We helped our community partner KIB, hung out with some awesome KIB club kids, enjoyed a beautiful morning outdoors, and did something this week to keep Indianapolis a little more beautiful.

Why We Did It
Keep Indianapolis Beautiful is Formstack’s first Community Partner. Every month, we’ll partner with a local Indy nonprofit to donate a Formstack account for their data collection needs and help promote any special events or initiatives for that month. Keep your eyes open for more information about our Community Partnership program in the coming weeks!

In addition to our service project, we’ll also be Going Green with KIB and supporting their April KIB Drive to help spread awareness of KIB and their mission. We’ll be wearing green to work, making a financial donation, and sharing our support through social media. Interested in learning more about how you can help? Visit their site for more info.
