We’ve Relaunched our WePay Integration!
We have now (re)launched our WePay integration! For those who are unfamiliar, WePay is a payment processor that allows you to easily collect payments online. WePay provides a simple way for individuals, organizations, and businesses to instantly collect donations online, send invoices, sell tickets to an event, and sell items online. WePay also provides an API to developers to integrate with its payments platform. But with our simple integration, no coding experience is needed!
Some of you may have been using our previous WePay integration, but there have been some changes made so it’s now more streamlined. You can view some of the details from our original Formstack WePay integration in this blog post.
The main difference now is our OAuth feature with WePay. The OAuth feature is just a simple way for you to allow Formstack to “talk” to WePay without the hassle of being redirected. You’ll notice a pop-up screen prompting for your permission. This will make it easier for you to access WePay through the integration and it’s more secure since we are not storing user data within our system. In short, it’s a safer and more efficient way of setting up a payment processor integration.
Other than that, there aren’t too many differences. However, since our original integration with WePay, we have made a few changes in other areas of our app that may interest you. We’ve launched our Field Guides, which allow for quick and easy order form building; a snazzy new dashboard, displaying form analytics in a snap; and some other updates that are sure to make your Formstack experience much more enjoyable.
